Collection: Paintings

This collection of paintings is a panoply of ideas and images which have become familiar visitors in my work. They are often a reworking of an early composition. Sources are memories or dreams, sometimes a life drawing or portrait, or something I have glimpsed and retained. The figures are often masked or shown in reflection. They are stylised, existing in enclosed spaces; sometimes surrounded by symbols such as birds, flowers, the sea, and the sky.
